Krebons!!!

i would like to ask about "Krebons".....
If i put it at face-down defence position, its effect activates when an opponent's monster attacks or not???

No it dosent its effect only works when its face up

to go deeply inside this question maybe you will ask yourself ducky why is it so.

Battle phase has several steps.

* Start Step - just declaring that you will enter the battle phase

* Battle Step - in this step you select one of your monsters and declare an attack on your opponents monsters (Krebons effect activates in this step because you declare an attack on him in this step)

* Damage Step - damage calculation is applied here from the declared attack and if attacked monster is face-down it is flipped face-up in this phase. if it has flip effect it will activate after damage calculation but still in Damage step. ( Krebons will be flipped up in this step after it is attacked so his effect cannot activate because timing is passed for its activation)

* End Step - here turn player declares that he ends the battle phase. (many monster effects resolve also during this step like gladiator beasts...etc..)

i think it is clear now why Krebons's effect will not activate.
